Becoming The Leader You Were Met To Be
Welcome to the Leadership Management Site. You will discover many new and amazing things about becoming the leader you were meant to be and developing to your full potential. Becoming as leader is a continual growing process that continues to inspire all who choose to walk the leadership management path. It definitely has its share of challenges as all good things in life do. But it also has its own unique rewards that you will not obtain anywhere else.
I only became aware of the leadership management process just over a year ago, when I read an incredible book called the Making of a Leader. My father showed me the book once when he was reading it, but at the time it just didn't sound all that exciting of a topic. I figured it was just another leadership management book filled with stuffy old theories that would bore the socks off me.
But one day I borrowed the book and took it home for the weekend. I was currently in the process of running an ESL school that I had started in north-central Brazil. So, I figured I might be able to get a new idea or two out from between the covers.
I intended to just read the first and last pages of the book...and then skim through the index and find the most promising sections of the book. But from the moment I read the foreword I was hooked. I read the whole thing from cover to cover. That in itself was pretty amazing for me. Although I like to read alot, I mostly stick with online digital material that I can skim through quickly.
I think I spend most of the weekend with my nose between the pages. And I still didn't get to finish it...so I spent the rest of the week trying to dig through it. The book opened my eyes to many things that I had never realized before.
I think one of the most important things I took away from that reading was that I am more of a leader than I ever perceived. I realized that being a leader wasn't just about being a boss or manager. It goes so much deeper than that. It ties in with our destiny and all that God has planned for us.
